Enter DNS Information
- You will be presented with several options for the initial DNS settings of your domain. Consider your plans for the domain name in selecting the desired option.
- If you are pointing your site to a third party hosting service, you will need information from your
web hosting provider.
- If you do not currently have a web hosting provider, you may select I want to Park Domain from the available options.
- If you want FastWebServer.com to host your domain, and you have ordered a hosting
package for your domain or plan to order one, accept the default nameserver
information that will already be entered for you.
- If you would like to use FastWebServer.com's free domain forwarding service
to redirect your domain name to an existing website, select I want to use FastWebServer.com Hosting Service . Once the domain has been registered, you will be able to enable the easy domain forwarding service.
- If you are using a company other than
FastWebServer.com for your web hosting, select I want to use other nameservers and enter the nameservers in the boxes provided. You need to enter at least two namesevers. Do not include the IP addresses.
- To accept the information entered, click Continue.
- You can return to FastWebServer.com at any time to change your domain's DNS
information with no cost to you.
Result:
- Your domain's DNS information has been entered and you have completed step
4.
Notes:
After a domain is registered you can change the domain's DNS information at any time. Changes to the DNS information can take up to 24-48 hours to propagate throughout the internet.
