In This Chapter:
Anonymous FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a method by which
your guests can upload content (files) to an incoming directory.
The Anonymous FTP option only allows you to install anonymous
FTP for your site (if it is not already installed) or to remove
it once it has been installed.
To make use of Anonymous FTP, your users would need to know
the FTP utility included in their operating system, or use
one of several available FTP programs, such as WS-FTP or Cute
FTP.
Installing
Anonymous FTP
From the Control Panel, select the AnonFTP option. This will
display the "Anonymous FTP Manager" page. If anonymous
FTP has not been installed on your account, there will be
an option to "Install AnonFTP". Click this button
to install Anon FTP on your domain. A message will display
indicating that Anonymous FTP will be installed within approximately
ten minutes.
