By using the Site Statistics option of your
control panel, you can view an in depth analysis of your
website's usage. The statistics in this option are generated
by the http-analyze program available from
Rent-A-Guru. For complete documentation
of this software, visit http://www.netstore.de/Supply/http-analyze/.
What follows here is a brief description of some of the
software's more useful features.
To view your site statistics, enter the Site Statistics
option on your control panel. The "WWW Access Statistics"
page will appear.

From this main page there are a number of options
available to you:
When you click on Statistics for the last
12 months the first thing to happen is a smaller navigation
window will open.

Using the links in this window, you are able to
view the statistical breakdown of every month of that year.
Meanwhile, on the main page of your browser, you will find a
display of the usage statistics for the current year.

The following usage statistics are displayed on
this page:
Hits:
The number of times your site is given a request for information
from a web browser. (Note: a web page with two images would
generate three “hits”, one for each of the images,
and one for the page itself.)
Files:
The number of times a web browser requests a file and the server
on which your site resides delivers that file.
Pageviews:
The number of times a web browser requests a text or html file.
This gives a better indication of the actual amount of documents
requested from your site.
Sessions:
The number of unique hosts accessing the server during a given
period of time.
KB Sent:
The total amount of data sent during the summary period as reported
by the server.
You can find more detailed information about these
statistics by clicking on the http-analyze
2.4 link found in the bottom left corner of the page.

When you click on a monthly breakdown from the
smaller navigation window, many more statistical options become
available to you at the month level. Each link in this window
will display a different page of statistics for that topic in
the main browser window. For example, the "by Day"
link will display usage statistics for that month broken down
on a daily basis.

Notes:
On many of the pages, you are given the option
to view the page with the "Frames Version".
This version will work with most modern browsers as long as
frames have been enabled. In the Frames Version,
a main control frame will appear on the left side of the window.
From here you can navigate between statistics by year and by
month much the same as described above.
There is also "3D Model Version"
for viewing statistics. This option requires special VRML (Virtual
Reality Modeling Language) software to be installed on your
computer before proceeding. For more information see, the Http-Analyze
web site.
